Sunday Smorgasbord

Are you a Compassion sponsor? Want to get your kids more involved? You can preview a FREE subscription to Compassion Explorer magazine. The magazine is geared for ages 6-9 and is mailed as an insert in the Compassion magazine. Call (800) 336-7676.

This week, Jon Acuff mentioned how Prison Fellowship has a new program called “Forgive, Don’t Forget.” How it works: you buy one of these nifty t-shirts for $25, they give a newly released prisoner a shirt and tie. You also get to send the prisoner a message to be included with the shirt. (I love what Acuff wrote; read it HERE).

I’ve been hearing a lot of buzz about Pinterest. For information on what it is and how to get started, check out SortaCrunchy‘s post–Pinterest: A Beginner’s Guide

Also abuzz on the interwebs is a recipe for DIY Coke Icees. It’s pretty easy if you have the right ice cream maker (and it only uses one ingredient!).

Remember the recipe for Nutella cookies from last week’s Sunday Smorgasbord? How about a batch of Nutella muffins to go with them? By the way, you all should know that even though I was salivating at the sight of the jar, I purposely walked past the Nutella at the grocery store this week. 🙂

I’ve been a little light on my blog surfing this week, so feel free to leave your favorite links in the comments!
